20471120 was founded in 1992 by Lica and Masahiro Nakagawa. The brand gained acclaim for its surreal runway shows and futuristic vision, reflected in its name, which represents November 20, 2047. Its mascot, Hyoma, was featured in the Tokyo Recycling Project, promoting sustainable fashion. Although 20471120 closed in 2003, Lica and Nakagawa also launched Zechia in 2007.
